Luxury Accommodation on the banks of the Crocodile River over looking the Kruger National Park. Bushwise Safaris combines upmarket luxury accommodation with the real Safari experience.

From our Safari Lodge base we take guests into Kruger in our open safari-vehicle for a personalized safari, not only to seek out the Big Five but to look at all the wonders of this unique eco-system.

Bushwise Safari lodge is owner run , situated in Marloth Park over looking the Crocodile river and the famous Kruger National Park.

We operate in the South East of Kruger which is well known for its renowned game viewing with frequent sightings of lion and leopards.

The Lodge itself is luxurious double storey under thatch with A/C en-suite guest bedrooms. We remain small in order to give our guests personal attention.

The Upper deck and bar area overlooks Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River where one often sees a variety of wildlife drinking at the waters edge. For bird enthusiasts the opportunities are endless!

Bushwise Safaris takes pride in serving exceptional African dinners served in a boma around a campfire under the African night sky.

Virtually every night you hear the roar of lions, calls of hyena and the grunting of hippo from Kruger National Park.

Facilities & Services

List of Bushwise Safari Lodge Facilities and Services:

  • All rooms are air-conditioned and have ceiling fans
  • Bathrooms en-suite with showers; 1 room available with bath
  • Fully stocked bar
  • Upper deck balcony/terrace - with swimming pool overlooking Kruger National Park
  • English breakfast is served daily; dinner is served in an enclosed boma under the stars
  • Coffee and tea trays on request
  • Same day laundry facilities
  • Hair dryer on request

Self-drive clients (1):

Rates are broken down as follows per person per day:

  • Dinner, Bed and Breakfast R700.00 with a single supplement of R180.00 (excludes beverages and alcohol)

Activities may include any, or all of the following depending on client’s requests and arranged itinerary:

  • Full day safari into Kruger National Park in an open safari vehicle including a breakfast cooked by your guide at an observation point over looking the river (R650)
  • Morning walk into Kruger with Kruger Guide (R400)
  • Half day safari into Kruger in open safari vehicle (R500)
  • Night safari into Kruger with Kruger Guide (R350)
  • Day trip to Maputo, Mozambique (border and VISA fees are for your expense) (R650)
  • Tiger fishing on the Komati River (R350)
  • Bird watching walks (R400)
  • Visit to the African Cultural Village near the Swaziland border (R 350)
  • Day excursion to the Panorama Route – visit Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Mac Mac waterfalls (R650)
  • Visit to the Jane Goodall chimpanzee institute in Nelspruit (R650pp)

All Inclusive (2):

Our all-inclusive rate, R1800 per person per day including full board and accommodation, meals, all activities mentioned above and transfers to and from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA).

**Our in-house, qualified and , experienced registered bush guides conduct all safari activities.**

2008 RATES
R 1800.00 per person per day all inclusive including meals, transfer from and to KMIA and all activities. It does not include the bar bill, and soft drinks. This could include any, or all of the following depending on client's requests and arranged itinerary:

     dinner,breakfast and light lunch.
 v Morning walk into Kruger with Kruger Guide ( to be

     booked in advance )
v Full day drive into Kruger in open safari vehicle

v Half day drive into Kruger in open safari vehicle
v Night Drive into Kruger with Kruger Guide ( to be

Directions Johannesburg – Bushwise Safaris
 

• Leave JHB on N4
• Continue on the N4 through Nelspruit towards Mozambiques Border
• Pass through the towns of Malelane and Hechtorspruit
• About 11km outside of Hechtorspruit you will see a sign that reads MARLOTH

  PARK. Turn left.
• After 5km you will come to entrance gate to Marloth Park
• You are now on a tar road, appr 8km roadsign on your right hand side that

  reads Waterbok street, turn left, continue for 100m, you come to a Y-junction

  turn right into Swartwitpens street. First road on left (Njala) turn left and   

  continue until you come to T-junction with the river and Kruger Park in front of

  you.
• Turn right and you are right at BUSHWISE !

Bookings:

A 50% deposit is payable within 7 days of the booking. Please note that your booking will only be confirmed on receipt of your deposit. The balance is due on departure.

Our Cancellation Policy is as follows:

Cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival - 25% cancellation fee.
Cancellation less than 14 days prior to arrival - 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to arrival - 100 % cancellation fee.
Amakhala Game Reserve retains the right to change rates without notice.

Check in time is 14h00. 
Check out time is 11h00 unless prior arrangements have been made.
