WEEKLY DEPARTURE DURBAN TO PORT
ELIZABETH
DAY 1: DRAKENSBERG (±240KM)
We leave in the morning from Durban for a scenic drive to the
Drakensberg visiting Pietermaritzburg and Howick Falls on the way. In
Pietermaritzburg we will visit the Voortrekkers Museum. The Howick Falls
and surrounding area was proclaimed a national monument in 1951 and is a
breathtaking place where the Umgeni River plunges 95m down dolomite
cliffs into the gorge. Overnight in The Drakensberg in Underberg
DAY 2: SANI PASS TOUR
Today we experience an unforgettable cross border adventure in a 4x4
vehicle. The incredible dramatic Sani Pass climbs steeply from the lush
farmlands of kwaZuluNatal into the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, through
the uKhahlamaba Drakensberg Park.
The highlights of this tour are: drive the Sani Pass, unique flora and
endemic birds in season, history of the pass, lunch and drinks at the
highest pub in Africa and a visit to working Basotho village.

DAY 3: COFFEE BAY (± 350KM)
We leave in the morning for our drive to Coffee Bay. On the way we will
make several stops under which the Nelson Mandela Museum in Umtata.

DAY 4: EAST LONDON (± 300KM)
We take an excursion to the Hole in the Wall in the morning. The Hole in
the Wall is an amazing natural rock formation along the coast and after
we head straight to East London. Our overnight is in East London/ Cintsa.
DAY 5: KARIEGA GAME RESERVE (± 210KM)
From East London we drive via Port Alfred and Grahamstown to Kariega
Game Reserve.
Port Alfred is a glorious town, laid out along the Kowie River. Close to
Port Alfred, in Bathrust we visit the Pineapple Farm, where you’ll find
the world’s biggest pineapple. Continuing our trip we pass Grahamstown,
also known as city of Saints, with more than 40 places of worship.
Once we arrive in Kariega, where we can experience the Big Five, we have
a full Game Package including 2 game drives, all meals and
accommodation.
DAY 6: PORT ELIZABETH (± 150KM)
In the morning we still enjoy the game reserve and after we head to Port
Elizabeth.
